Gorgeous Phidippus audax 'Big Bend' males 12 mm +
These are gorgeous Phidippus audax 'Big Bend' males.
They are a new audax locale to the UK, and these are the first of our offspring.
They have been captive bred by us.
He left the nest on the 31/7/24
They have stunning vibrant colouration.
They are 12mm +
And are feeding very well on green and blue bottle flies.
Audax originate from Florida and there are 3 different variants. Audax, Bryantae, and Big Bends.
Big Bends have more Vibrant Orange with bolder markings, unlike audax which are mostly black, and Bryantae with are not as have a band of cream or white around the edge of their pattern.
Big Bend are also Rare, as they are only found in a small pocket in Panhandle Florida, there are not many found often in the wild.
They are a very friendly and easy to care for species.
Please remember to provide a bright white led light directly above the enclosure for their wellbeing.
