Moulting update.



Some old research has come to light that would suggest that a small percentage of Jumpers can moult up to eleven times to reach maturity. It varies due to the species in this chart.

This is an extract from the research.

"Morphometric data from the laboratory were employed for estimating the number of molts that spiders undergo"

There is clearly no exact science to the number of times. In our personal experience so far they have reached maturity after six moults.

Research is ongoing and part of the learning curve.
