Moult or Molt ?

The spelling depends on where you live worldwide. It has long been pondered and discussed how many times a Jumper moults to reach the Adult stage.

The science says a Male moults five times and a Female six. This fact becomes blurred when they are kept in captivity because of the time this can take to occur.

The metabolism of the Spider is changed by how often they are fed. Most Spiders will eat every day if they are fed that frequently. This will speed up their metabolism, causing them to grow faster and moult sooner. It also reduces their life span. Feeding less often slows it, which means they grow slower and their moults take longer, increasing the time it takes them to reach the Adult stage.

The latter leads people to believe that they have moulted more times, which does not happen.
