Gorgeous Phidippus bidentatus 'Maya' (Unsexed) 10-12 mm

28,00£Cena

These are beautiful Phidippus bidentatus 'Maya'.

They left the nest 28/9/24

And are feeding very well on green bottle flies.

( The one in the photo is one of the smaller ones, as it was the only one without a fly in its gob when I did the photo shoot 😂)

They have been captive bred by us, and these are our 3rd generation.

Bidentatus Maya are a Rare locale.

They are a locale of Phidippus bidentatus, and get the name 'Maya' from the region of which they originate.

As adults females are a chunky fluffy brown colour and males are stunning, Black with iridescent electric Blue/Green on the top of their heads and down the top of their abdomens. It can be seen at its best under the right light, an can even look purpley.

They are an adorable Jumper, very timid and friendly.

They are gutsy feeders,

and can grow to a good size, females often reaching 15 mm and males 12 mm plus.

We are still sorting through the ones we are keeping, and will list any spares on the website as we go along. There will not be high numbers, as we will be keeping a lot of them to breed from, until they become more established in the UK.

We also have a younger batch following, but again limited numbers will be available.

The last pic is of one of the Mum & Dad's (Not for sale)

PLEASE NOTE, As with all Jumping spiders a bright white led light directly above the enclosure is essential for their wellbeing.
